Due to economic reasons, the Board has decided to terminate courtesy busing. Students who reside less than 2 miles from they school they attend will no longer be bused with courtesy transportation, unless you have been notified by the Morris Plains School District. The school district is working with local law enforcement to station four additional crossing guards in key locations within the Borough.

Busing information for your child is now available to view in the Genesis portal.  Please take a moment to view your child's scheduled transportation information before the first day of school, as busing routes and stops have changed for this year.

Morris ESC (Educational Services Commission) will be transporting Morris Plains students to Mountain Way & Borough School this year.

In the event you feel your child is not on the appropriate bus and/or stop, please contact me at your earliest convenience.  Bus drivers should not be asked to deviate from the scheduled bus route.

Please have your child at the appropriate bus stop ten minutes before the scheduled pickup time. Initially, it will take a while for the students and the drivers to get used to the route. Your patience and cooperation will be greatly appreciated.

In the event you have a problem with the transportation (for example, if it appears that the bus is not arriving or is very late, please call the transportation office directly, so it can send out another vehicle). The number for ESC is (973) 540-8844 X 33

PLEASE NOTE: MASKS ARE MANDATORY WHILE ON THE BUS, STUDENTS WILL NOT BE PERMITTED ON THE BUS WITHOUT THE PROPER FACE COVERING.

If you have any concerns regarding school transportation during the coming school year, please do not hesitate to call me at 973-531-9510
