A little bit about Mrs. Pochettino...Welcome to Morris Plains Borough School! My name is Naomi Pochettino and I am a Middle School Special Education Teacher. I received my BS from the University of Maine at Farmington, with a dual degree in Early Childhood and Special Education. I began my teaching career in Vermont, where I am from, and had the awesome opportunity of being a Preschool Teacher/Special Educator and Case Manager. In the Spring of 2004, my husband and I moved to New Jersey and I began working in the Morris Plains School District. Since the Fall of 2004, I have taught the Preschool/Special Education class at Mountain Way School. In September 2011, I began teaching at Borough School, in the role of a Special Education teacher, more specifically, as a 4th grade Resource Room teacher and I also provided In-Class Support to various grades throughout the school. In 2008, I obtained my MA from The College of Saint Elizabeth, with a degree in Special Education and a Certification in Assistive Technology. For the last three years, I have been supporting students throughout the middle school, as a special education teacher. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family. I love traveling to the National Seashore Beaches on Cape Cod and enjoying the gorgeous landscapes of Vermont. I enjoy reading, traveling, the beach, listening to music, the Yankees, seafood, and chocolate! I am proud to be a Borough School teacher and hope that I teach my students every day, as much as they teach me!
